Why does UpNote work so well? As well as the great simple intuitive design, I suggest that the big plus is that it has a very low friction quotient.
It's quick to open, quick (multiple ways) to start a new note, and quick to find what I'm looking for - be it a note I've been working on Today, Recently (top of All notes), that I have tagged as #active (saved search), or by using a search term.
The linking of notes works well and the automatic back links serve to quickly reveal relevant notes ( ℹ️ ).
